Ok, guys. I need your help. I'm thinking about buying a pair of sticks from Pro-Mark. Could someone give me a review of the Hickory DC20's, DC17's, and DC50 System Blue sticks? Thanks guys!

DC50 - Beefy. Super beefy. Well balanced with a good response, but hit or miss from pair to pair

DC17 - My new favorite snare stick. Think of it like the VF ScoJo but with a taper that gives it awesome response and a fast feel. Highly recommended.

DC20 - No idea.

The DC20 is the best of the three you listed, beefy grip, huge taper, and nice bead that allows for a real full sound. The DC17 just feels like a lighter MS5 to me. The DC50 is way overhyped. It feels alright, but the sound they get out of the drum isn't pleasant to me.

Other sticks to look at, all of which I believe to be better than the three you listed, are the DC3S, DC4 and DC8.

the DC8s are the best feeling sticks ive ever had

if you order for a beefy, high pitched pair they are honestly like no other stick on the market


They feel so soft off the drumhead

Mel, I think you should go for DC-50s and DC-8s, they feel pretty great. Or...Just go to Dayton in a few months and try out every pair you could imagine in the merchandise tent.

I mean yeah you don't get the sound from the DC-50's that some of you want, but it's definitely the best feeling stick I've played with and I've tried out almost every stick out there. DC-17's are good too, a bit smaller than the 50's but still play well.

I've only tried the Dc-50s and the first thing I noticed was how much shorter they've felt compared to Vic Firth and Innovative sticks. And they're super beefy. I have grown to love them.

are the DC8's the jeff ausdemoores?? And the DC50 is a wonderfulk stick for a beefy sound, DC17 (ScoJo's new model) is also good, but a little light for me. and DC20s ive never heard of

DC11's are kinda nice too, but getting a good pair is sorta hard.

i just ordered some DC20s (the oak ones though) when i get them ill tell you how they are. I a pair of DC50s they feel pretty nice but sound terrible on a drum compared to IP and VF. overall good stick though. Scojos are overrated. Theyre decent but waay over hyped. Not near as amazing as theyre made out to be. I say just try the DC20s.

DC17s are FANTASTIC sticks for use. I primarily use them for practice and I use either DC50s or DC8s for performing. The DC17s really force you to use more wrist on riddles and make you stroke it out.
