How hard is it to get a high school line sponsored/get endorsements? I would really like my old high school to have a fresh pair of sticks w/o the hassle of holding on to a bad pair for longer then they have to...
If you have any experiences to share about your band directors/percussion instructors getting sponsorships for your line and how they did it that would be great.

well sponsering isnt hard to get my line is sponsered by remo, vic firth, zildjian, coca cola (at one time), pearl and others
endorsements are hard to get
endorsements are what give you the free stuff
my line just recently got endorsed by remo and every once in a while we get a set of promo bass heads for the line but other than that we dont get anything for free maybe a discount
its really hard to get a vic (or any stick) endorsement
even so you may only get a discount

My rival drumline is endorsed by Vic Firth and Remo, I believe.
I think they got them from doing well in their indoor marching; they're at about the same level of skill as us.

I'm going to try to get us endorsed by Remo and Vic Firth. God knows our tenors go through heads so fast, probably about eighty a year(total). And our snares go through sticks about once a week. My friend Mike sitting next to me says that he goes through at least a pair a week. Maybe with the head and the stick budget cut out, we could afford two new snares and a new set of tenors instead of having to march three old drums with our new set.
Oh, and don't forget StickTape.com. Lord knows we spend well over a hundred dollars a month on tape.

...No.
Why would White Castle make you think of Asians or Indians? White Castle is pure American food at it's finest.

I believe our band is "sponsored" by Encore, but the only time we've ever used Encore sticks was the end of this indoor season.
I've been wanting to build up our program after I leave so they can get sponsored. That'd be pretty cool. As far as I know, the only sponsored program around my area is San Marcos, where SilentSnare and DonQuadxote are from (they're with Promark, as well).
Come to think of it, if you guys are reading, how did you get those?

Our director lozell has been around those guys forever. he marched velvet knights way back in the day and has been teaching at San Marcos since 93 or so. somehow he got SMHS sponsored along the way. i dont think we are fully sponsored anymore though. I think we just get a nice discount for sticks.

I called the IP guy who talked to me at WGI Finals about my high school, left him a very nice message. He didn't return my call, so looks like I'm calling him again.

my High School line just got a full endorsement by ProMark,
but the main reason is we're the best line in Nebraska (1st place at state comp.)
and we have members from a line called Dojo Percussion, which is also endorsed by promark, evans, HQ, puresound, instanbul, and others. so some of it is the skill level of a line,
and some of it is just the connections you have..

I just transferred to a new school to work with their percussion, now the band is small only marching 3 bass drums, 2 snares and 1 quint. I am trying to get them endorsements as they do not have any. They drums they are using are from 1992 according to the schools records and date stamps. I am trying to get endorsements so the money we spend on sticks, mallets, and heads could be put to getting new drums. Or if you know anyone who has a decently nice set they could donate.
