Starting Indoor

Posted: Tue Oct 25, 2016 12:04 pm

Hi everyone,

This year I am starting up an indoor program at the school I teach at. We won't be competing in any way until next year. The show this year is aimed at the parents as a means of fundraising.

I need an audition piece that's not too difficult, my kids are beginner to moderate playing abilities. I plan on using every student that auditions in some way. Any recommendations?

TL;DR
I need an audition piece that isn't too difficult.

Thanks!

I know it's really really late for this but in the future if you're thinking solos, try Odyssey II. It's a pretty standard intermediate solo.

Audition packet should contain basic rudiments. A good variety of rolls.

He pretty clearly stated he was looking for a piece they could play for their audition, not how to make an audition packet. If he's instructing his own line I'm pretty sure he's seen plenty of audition packets and knows how to make one.
