Engineering, so I did learn some basic programming skills that have made it easier to learn web-related languages.

Oh okay, that's cool. I'm majoring in Computer Science so I'm learning Visual Basic programming, HTML(5) and JavaScript.

I'll be getting in PHP, Database, Web Server and other stuff over the next year.

This is awesome!

One thing that would be great though would be if you could download practice routines as mp3s so you can put them your ipod. So in cases when you can't have a laptop open infront of you, you can just listen through your ipod.

Something that would be needing to be put on the mp3's would be a voice speaking before each exercise e.g
'Eights, Tempo:120,' Count in.

Check out the click tracks. I have them completed starting from the top and through 32nd note singles. The whole note clicks will challenge your time keeping ability!

Currently working on the click tracks for the add-a-flam exercises.

is there any chance of adding the option to have the click track and the exercise going at the same time? so for example the exercise mp3 AND the quarter note track?
i feel like that would be useful on a majority of the exercises.

This is a possibility, yes. I will put it on the to-do list.

Click tracks are up for the add-a-flam exercises. I made custom tracks for these because of the weird time sigs. There is a click on each hand change for 'quarter notes', every other hand change for 'half notes' and every 4th hand change for 'whole notes'.

*Respectful question* Why didn't you just do a constant 8th note click?

An eighth note track would not offer much variation in skill building over the VDL exercise mp3. The main point of the click tracks is to improve your tempo keeping ability.

It wouldn't be possible to create our own exercises, would it? I'm assuming it's using prerecorded mp3's and isn't actually "reading" the music.

It is all prerecorded and edited mp3s. That is why it is taking me a while to get up the new click tracks. Each exercise is taking me around 30 minutes of work.

It is meant to work on all mobile devices through the default web browser. I have not tested it extensively yet, however. It works great on my android device. :)

Excellent!

I intend on using this daily, and i have at least 3 friends who plan on the same!
Just tried it on my iPhone 4s in Safari, and it worked pretty well. Minus not having the sheet music right on screen, I can confirm it worked fine. It would be cool if you added "Groups" or "Sectionals" or "Challenges" or something to that affect, where you could challenge other users or assign them workouts. A nifty little checklist visible to other people in the group could create some friendly competition.

Thank you for this incredible practice tool!
Something like this could really help turn around drum newbs who barely practice into masters of percussion!

Thanks again,
Cola

Hi Ryan - Beginner here. I love the concept, especially I'm visual learner as I'm deaf. I see you already had/have feedback about slower tempos; I'd see it like at 60 bpm on up. Also; would it be possible to have something like a colored dot or some marker that moves while reading the music. That way I can see if I'm following the music with the tempo. Also; my teacher does this for me on notepaper; he makes the notations like when I was learning parradiddle parimid (sp-like I sounds to me) he make counting notations. Like the 1e&a underneath the notations. I would be neat if you could have a feature (that can fade in or out) that could be turned on/off for the beginners while learning to read & play music. I'm liking the idea of using this to build a daily practice routine to build on. Just some thoughts from a old fart learning & loving drumming.

Randy

Another question; would we still be able to use this on the computer? I would like the bigger screen size
