So the newest trend among high school drum lines seems to be the 8 count snare feature. After judging several contests this fall,

I love the licks and I can say from experience that the 8 count snare break is happening all over the place. The last 2 years our snare breaks have been 8 counts, although the writing hasn't been as cool as these.
