dark/evil marimba piece suggestion

a dark music lover here hoping to find some of your favorite macabre peices in the dark corners of classical percussion repertoire.
i figured their would be a great dark choral peice to play but i havent been around long enough to have these answers please help,.

Do you mean chorale? Like a four mallet "ballad" type chorale? Or just any mallet parts to a macabre piece of classical literature that can be from anything, such as the orchestral repertoire?

i am looking for a solo piece for marimba, a sombre choral ballad is defiantly an option. its to play in front of a jury is their anything you think would be appropriate?

Check on YouTube for a recording of the first movement of Michael Burritt's October Night, or Evelyn Glennie's Three Chorales. They are both easily available on steveweissmusic.com for a low price, and all four are great pieces of music.
