hi everyone,
A friend of mine directed me to a website called capuchinpercussion.com in my search for a marimba that I could possibly buy. Does anyone know anything about this company? A five octave rosewood marimba for $1500 seems almost too good to be true.

The frame looks really cheap. If want to hear one live before buying one. It looks like they sell products to help fundraiser for other programs. I'm wondering what other corners they cut.
My posts are mine and mine alone.
They do not now or in the future represent any group, person (both living and dead) that I have been, am currently, or will be in the future associated with.

May not be as shiny as a brand new Musser or Yamaha or whatever, but I would think they get the job done. The practice marimba my university has is from them, I think.

I understand concerns about the cost and quality of the instrument.
Currently we charge $2,000 actually for our 5 Octave rosewood "practice" marimbas. They are without resonators.
They are at such a low cost because we are non profit organization with a mission to make instruments that are more affordable.
I assure you the frames are actually quite sturdy and are built with Red Oak.
We sell marimba key chains to fundraise towards instrument donations for schools and community music programs.
