Front Ensemble Help

I'm looking to audition for a front ensemble for the 2014 DCI Season. I'm a sophomore college Music Major, so my fundamental skill set is pretty solid. I have played bass for 2 years in junior high, 4 in high school, and 1 going on 2 in college, but I am wanting a new experience. I know scales/arpegios are very important, and I have purchased the "Up Front" book by Casella and Ancona on front ensembles. Any other suggestions to get me headed into the right direction? I'm looking to audition for Blue Knights or Blue Stars for the 2014 season. I have a practice room 5 minutes away, so I want to do what I can this summer to get a good start.

Start with the packet of the respective corps you wish to audition for. This will tell you exactly what they want to see. This goes for technique, exercises, etc. Blue Stars just got a new staff and they are all former Blue Devils, so study up.

I'm a junior in high school, do you guys know where I could find last years percussion packet for Boston Crusaders?
