Whitemax or cybermax?

Posted: Sat Jan 02, 2016 5:42 pm

I recently ordered the falams 2 batter head and was disappointed to find that after two weeks the head ripped from the hoop. I am going to order a new head and am stuck between the whitemax and cybermax. So I'm just wanting to know which will last longer.

I don't know which will last longer, but the White Max is a much better head in my opinion. Much easier on the hands, a warmer sound, and will certainly last much longer than a falams.

Cybermax is insanely crisp and articulate like the snare batter heads of the 90s, but is designed for pipe band by Jim Kilpatrick. The max heads, however, have the best feel.

Super late reply but one thing I think I should point out is that the Falams heads aren't meant to be batter heads. Those are snare side heads. When it comes to batter heads, either of the ____max heads works, white or black. They're exactly the same except for their color, and they're excellent heads. I've drummed on Blackmax heads for two years and I love them. Just pick whichever color you think would look better with your drums.

Close, but not quite. There is a batter and snare side version of the Falam head.
