You'll hear legitimate arguments for both depending on individual experiences. I'm personally an Evans guy. The Hybrid Gray heads suit the sound I like and the tuning I go for. Its all personal preference though.

I feel the same way but was curious about other people's thoughts on Remos

I'm a Remo artist, so naturally I'm going to suggest Remo. I'm a huge fan of the Max series heads. Soft on the hands and still gives a nice articulate defined attack.
The Cybermax is a really good head, but it's HARD on the hands.

Thanks bill. I have always used Evans and have recently been contemplating on switching to Remos next season.

Remos are totally superior in terms of tenors and basses. The max heads are fantastic, but the Evans hybrids have a drier and less tonal sound that I prefer for the snares.
