Depends on what you're playing. The Bosphorus is good if you're gonna play a lot of jazz or some blues/shuffles. If you're going to play a lot of heavy rock however (or you hit your cymbals really hard), you'll probably want the explosion crash

I play a lot of funk, R&B, and Rock. I friggin' love my Bosphorus traditional cymbals. What weight were you looking at? I have medium thins and they sound fantastic. Also have their Turk ride, which is baller as well. Definitely recommend their cymbals.

The set I used to play with our pep band had a lot of Bosphorus cymbals (hi-hat and a medium crash) and I liked them a lot. If youre looking into playing jazz, Bossa nova, or anything that speed I would look more into the sabians. The hand hammered ride from Sabian is my go-to for that kind of thing. Another company to look into that has a lot of good hardware is Soultone
